  • FRED – Faculty Records Electronic Delivery

    The new campus wide student progress database is now being rolled out across the Faculty. ALM (Year 4/5/6) data is being entered at UOW and DSM. For more information on the FRED project see the Faculty IT support page: http://facmed.otago.ac.nz/it/

    ALM Module Convenors and Administrators at UOW and DSM have been given access to both the test site and live data site. The next phase will involve training UOC ALM staff and then making the ELM programme progress data available via FRED.

    LOGIN to FRED
    Once given authorisation and assigned a role, you can login to FRED using your University username and password. The TEST site has a green background and the LIVE data site is blue. Firefox is the recommended Internet browser.

    Specific information for staff including: user support, systems administration, and development as well as who the staff are and what they do

  • Learning Management Systems – Blackboard and Moodle

    Moodle is being trialled for ELM (Years 2/3) in 2011 as an alternative Learning Management System (LMS) to Blackboard. (both used for course materials, lecture slides, timetable and general information). A full review of the Moodle site will be undertaken in 2011 before any further decisions are made on the future Learning Management System for ELM and ALM.
